Emotional Intelligence: EI, O, there’s more!

This session will engage the HR professional in moving beyond Emotional Intelligence literacy to some fun and beneficial skills practice in which you are guaranteed to learn something new about yourself and enhance your professional skills as a manager and an EI mentor.

After this session, you will be able to:

    • Explain why the brain reacts more emotionally than logically at times, define “emotional hi-jacking,” and provide examples
    • Use self-talk to manage your emotions
    • Explain what to do instead of attacking, taking sides, blaming, closing doors, arguing and avoiding
    • List some effective ways for being an EI mentor, helping others to manage their emotions
