    Ohio Tuition Trust Authority (Ohio’s 529 Plan)

    Established in 1989, the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority is a state agency within the Ohio Department of Higher Education. The Ohio Tuition Trust Authority sponsors and administers CollegeAdvantage, Ohio's 529 college savings program.

    CollegeAdvantage 529 is available to families in Ohio and throughout the country as a tax-advantaged way to save for the future college expenses of their loved ones. We offer two mutual-fund based plans: the CollegeAdvantage Direct 529 Savings Plan and the CollegeAdvantage Advisor 529 Saving Plan powered by BlackRock.

    Ohio’s Direct 529 Savings Plan is one of the top rated plans in the nation – with more than 4.46 Billion in assets under management, and more than 271,000 account holders.

    Ms. Smith is a marketing professional for the State of Ohio’s 529 College Savings Plan, CollegeAdvantage. As a former administrator in higher education, and with nearly two decades as a public servant in county/state government, Ms. Smith collaborates with employers throughout Ohio as a resource for Ohio’s 529 Plan. She actively advocates the benefits of the tax-advantaged program with employers and helps them plan and roll out Ohio’s 529 Plan in the workplace. She earned her MS in marketing and communication from Franklin University, and a Bachelor’s degree in communication from Ohio University-Zanesville, cum laude. She resides in Lewis Center, Ohio and is active in the Columbus Chamber.
